IT Support Engineer

TDK-Lambda UK Ltd is a successful and long established design and manufacturing company of standard and configurable AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies situated on the pleasant North Devon Coast. We are entering an exciting period of change and expansion with ambitious plans for the manufacturing facility.

We are looking for an IT Support Engineer with prior experience of working in a busy IT Department.  The successful applicant will be working as part of a dynamic and friendly team to deliver support to TDK Lambda UK employees on a variety of issues.

Main duties and responsibilities: 

 As part of a team you will be responsible for: 

  • Supporting Servers, Desktops, Network and Voice equipment            
  • Using Helpdesk software to support our employees 
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware/software problems 
  • Installation and upgrades of both hardware and software 
  • Ensuring software is correctly licensed 
  • Ensuring the security of company systems 

The primary focus of this advertised role is: 

  • Employee Support 
  • End user system deployment and configuration (PC, Windows and iOS) 
  • Software deployment / installation 

 Skills and qualifications:  

 The ideal candidate will have previous administration experience of: 

  • Microsoft Active Directory (Users, Groups etc.) 
  • Microsoft Office 365 
  • PC and Software Support and Deployment 
  • Microsoft Windows (Desktop)  
  • Understanding of Networks (IP Addressing, Switches, VLAN, Wireless etc.) 

Additional IT Skills of benefit (not essential): 

  • IP PBAX telephone systems 
  • VMware ESX 

Hours of work:

  • Monday to Thursday 7.30 am – 4.30 pm.
  • Friday 7.30– 12.00 pm

In return the company offers excellent conditions of employment, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays per annum, additional 1 days holiday at 10 years service and again at 15 years service, Company Sick Pay Scheme, free Life Assurance and Pension contributions above the statutory minimum (Employee 3.25%, Company 4.75%) and Flexi-time (1 hour either side of start and finish time).

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 (DOE)
