Specialist power supply manufacturer Lambda has launched its TH/TX series of rack-mountable single output AC/DC front end power supplies for factory automation and distributed power architectures. Lambda is introducing two new models in the series: the TH range and TX range. The TH range is available in 12, 24 and 48V versions, with power outputs selectable from 750, 1200 and 2000W. The TX range is available in 24 and 48V versions, with power outputs selectable from 2500, 3600, 4800 and 7500W. By connecting 3 units together on a 19 inch rack, a maximum output of up to 22,500W is achievable, in a space 2U high.
Each model accepts a continuous input from 85 to 265V, meaning that they are compatible with global standards. Lambda has incorporated hot swap and redundant parallel operation capabilities, and a i2C programming interface that can be used to monitor AC present, converter OK, thermal profile and fan fail. Alarm signals include AC fail, module alarm and temperature alarm.
Operating temperature range is -40 to 70ºC, and the units operate with a typical efficiency of 90% at full load. The dimensions of the TH series are 42.9x101.7x347mm and 1U (43.6mm)x19” (440mm)x413.9mm when mounted as three units on a single rack shelf. The TX series is 87.4x131.5x404.8mm and 2U (43.6mm)x19” (440mm)x523.1mm when mounted as three units on a single rack shelf.
