Lambda has boosted its range of compact single-output DIN-rail mount AC-DC power supplies with the launch of its DPP series. With DIN-rail-based factory automation and industrial control becoming more and more popular among manufacturers, so the demand for DIN-rail compatible power supplies is also growing. To meet this demand Lambda’s DPP series provides a choice of 5, 12, 15, 24 and 48V output DIN-rail power supplies specifically designed with size, efficiency and reliability in mind.
Dave Buck, Lambda European Product Manager, commented: “With DIN-rail becoming the preferred method for mounting control panel equipment so the demand for units like the DPP is growing significantly. Compact size, high efficiency, low heat generation and long life are all essential. We’ve introduced the DPP series with these requirements in mind.” In all, eight models are being launched with output powers of 15, 25, 30, 50 or 100W, depending on the variant chosen. Dimensions range from 22.8x75x91mm up to 72.5x75x96.7mm for the 100W unit.
The DPP units are an economical solution for a wide range of light industrial applications including process control, chemical processing, automotive, burn-in & test, and instrumentation. The units accept AC or DC inputs, and have built-in overcurrent and overvoltage protection. Convection cooling is employed over an operating temperature range of –10 to +71ºC. Efficiency is typically 89%.
The DPP units are CE marked in accordance with the Low Voltage Directive and comply with a wide range of worldwide safety standards. The units have plastic cases and are extremely rugged, having a typical mean time before failure of 270,000 hours. They are supplied with a 2-year warranty.
