Lambda has launched a range of fully shielded single, dual and triple output DC-DC converters for industrial applications. The PXD, PXE and PXF series of converters are shielded on all six sides to reduce radiated noise to meet EN55022 Level A radiated emissions standards, making them suitable for use with sensitive devices. With a mean time before failure (MTBF) of over 2 million hours, and a voltage output accuracy of up to +/-1%, the series is robust enough to handle the most demanding of industrial environments.
The converters have nominal input voltages of 12, 24 or 48V DC and there are models available with a wide 4 to 1 input range of 9-36V or 18-75V. This flexibility allows manufacturers to use PX converters with several input voltages, allowing them to keep fewer parts in inventory whilst still fulfilling their power needs.
The PXD10, PXD15, PXD20, PXE20, and PXE 30 converters, with the numbers referring to the maximum output power in Watts, have an output voltage of 3.3, 5, 12 or 15V, depending on the variant selected. They are available as single or dual output model variants. The PXF Series has a maximum output of 40W, and is available in single, dual or triple output variants. All three new series are compact, with a common height and depth of 50.8mm x 10.2mm. Converter widths vary as follows: the PXD Series is 25mm, the PXE Series is 40.6mm, and the largest, the PXF Series, is 50.8mm. Weights are 27, 48 and 60g respectively.
