Lambda UK, the leading power supply manufacturer, is showcasing an extensive array of new and innovative products, ranging from tiny board-mounting DC-DC converters to multi-kilowatt power supplies, at the inaugural National Electronics Week.
New to the UK market is Lambda’s 100W power range addition to its highly successful NV-Power family of 1U high configurable power supplies. Designed to operate from inputs in the range from 90V to 264Vac (45Hz to 63Hz) or 120 to 350Vdc, these flexible NV-100 models offer a class leading efficiency of up to 90%. They are available with up to four outputs, covering the range 3.3V to 24V and delivering currents up to 10A.
Lambda’s LS series of single output 50W to 150W general purpose power supplies combines very low cost and small size with over 700000hrs MTBF and enhanced thermal performance.. Delivered with a three-year warranty, the LS series is offered in a choice of output voltages from 3.3Vdc to 48Vdc with efficiencies of up to 86%.
An extension to its PFE series of AC-DC full-brick power modules, the new PFE500F series brings with it additional innovative features.
The output current balance connection enables up to six PFE500F units to be paralleled together to accommodate increased power requirements and/or redundancy. In addition, the positive logic remote on/off control and inverter operation good (IOG) functions provide greater flexibility in the start-up or shutdown sequencing and/diagnostics of the power system. An auxiliary power supply (10-14V, 20mA) is also integrated for external signals. The fully-regulated 12V PFE500F delivers up to 504W with a maximum base-plate temperature of 85°C, while the 28V and 48V models deliver the same output at temperatures up to 100°C.
Lambda’s new iHG series of half-brick DC-DC converters provide exceptional thermal performance, ideal for engineers designing low airflow, high temperature, 48V power architectures. Furthermore, the all new digital control circuitry bringing a significant component count reduction, as well as improved reliability and lower cost, makes the iHG family well-suited as replacements or upgrades in legacy applications as well as powering a broad range of reliability critical applications.
An industry first, Lambda’s new lifetime warranty for its HWS series of industrial power supplies follows several years in the field with negligible return rate. Providing they are installed and used in accordance with Lambda’s instruction manual, this warranty covers the entire HWS series, from 15W to 1500W, and includes both the ‘HD’ heavy duty and ‘ME’ medically approved versions.
National Electronics Week takes place at London’s Earls Court 2 venue from 17th – 19th June. During the show, visitors to the Lambda stand will have the opportunity to see first hand an impressive display of leading-edge products as well as speak to Lambda engineers about their project needs.
