TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the
iDQ series of 10A, 48Vdc nominal EMC filter modules. With high on-board capacitance, the filters are ideal for use with DC-DC converters, minimising the need for external components and thus saving on printed circuit board area.
Rated for a maximum voltage of 75Vdc, the iDQ has a differential mode attenuation of 63dB at 300 kHz measured with a 50Ω source and load impedance. The compact filter measures just 50mm in length, 15mm in width, with a height of 10.8mm. The iDQ will operate without forced air cooling in ambient temperatures of -40 to +85ºC.
Utilising TDK component technology, system level compliance to FCC and CISPR is made easier. A pin is provided for the addition of extra capacitance to further enhance common mode performance. The iDQ has 1500Vdc isolation from ground; enabling operation in systems where the ground is connected to either the positive or negative input.
