Congratulations go to Kelly College swimmers Louise Watkin and Lauren Steadman on their brilliant performances at the recent IPC European Championships in Reykjavik.
Louise Watkin won a total of five Gold medals and two Silvers, chalking up a new World Record in the 4x100m Medley relay, European Record in the 4x100m Freestyle relay and British record in the 100m Breaststroke.
Lauren Steadman not only won a European record in the 4x100m Freestyle relay, but she added Gold to her 400m Freestyle Bronze medal success.
Old Kelleian, Claire Cashmore was also in action in Iceland, in the 4x100m Medley relay team – she took the Gold and World Record home too. Two Bronze medals for the 50m Freestyle and 100m Breaststroke (SB8) added to her medal haul.
