Anyone looking to get an athlete’s insight into the Paralympic games will be able to do so from September 6th by logging onto www.lambda-gb.com. During the Paralympics the three athletes sponsored by Lambda (through its sponsorship of Kelly College’s Paralympic Swim Squad) will be sending news and views and photographs from their time in Beijing which will be posted on Lambda’s new website.
News will be sent from Claire Cashmore who is competing in the 100m breast stroke and the 200m Individual Medley (IM); Lauren Steadman who is competing in the 50m and 100m freestyle and Louise Watkin who is challenging for the 50m, 100m, 400m freestyle, 100m breast stroke and the 200m IM titles.
The young athletes are being helped to achieve Paralympic glory as part of a new £5000 sponsorship deal with Lambda UK.
Commenting, Lambda UK Managing Director, Adam Rawicz said, “We are really looking forward to getting the news back from the swimmers’ time in China. The athletes’ blogs promise to give a great view of what life is like in the Paralympic village.”
