The MTW series of multi-output power supplies designed and manufactured by TDK are available from power supply specialists Lambda, under the new collaborative TDK - Lambda product brand. The units are RoHS Compliant and are also competitively priced. MTW supplies feature slim, compact construction with an exceptionally low unit height of 26mm for all models and are available in 15W, 30W and 60W versions.

All types provide +5V, +12V and -12V outputs and are suitable for wide range operation from 85V to 265V Ac input. Operating efficiency is typically 71% or better, and the units have a maximum start up time of 100mS.

Integral overcurrent and overvoltage protection are provided, and all outputs have a peak current rating, for a maximum of 10 seconds, which is 135% or more of the nominal continuous current rating. In applications where short-term overloads are likely to occur, this additional capacity often eliminates the need to use a larger, more costly power supply.

MTW series power supplies are supplied as open type boards which offer a very high power-to-weight ratio, making them an ideal choice for use in portable equipment, and in other applications where overall weight must be minimised. They have an operating temperature range of -10ºC to +50ºC without derating, and can be used at up to 60ºC if derated by 30%.

Approved to UL, C-UL and TÜV safety standards, MTW series power supplies also conform to FCC-B, VCCI-B, EN55011-B and EN55022-B regulations for radiated and conducted noise, as well as with EN61000-4-2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 11 for electromagnetic immunity.
