World-leading power supply manufacturer Lambda is introducing a new series of AC-DC power supplies that is ideal for cost-sensitive applications that require both high reliability and high performance. The new single-output SWS is highly flexible and extremely versatile, a true power workhorse suited to a multitude of different applications.
Accepting a continuous universal input from 85 to 265V AC (47-63Hz) means Lambda’s new SWS ‘enclosed’ power supply is suitable for use around the world. It employs soft-start circuitry, has an integral Class B EMI filter and provides over voltage and over current protection. Other features include an output adjustment potentiometer (+/- 10%), integral power good LED indicator and screw terminals for input and output connections.
Four models are available with nominal output power ratings of 50, 75, 100 and 150W. Each model can be supplied with a choice of 5, 12 or 24V output. The company will extend the SWS series soon to offer more output voltage selections between 3 and 48V.
CE marked in accordance with the Low Voltage Directive, the new SWS series carries UL, CSA, EN60950 and EN50178 safety approvals. All models conform to EN61000-3-2, the SWS100 and SWS150 being fitted with an integral active PFC filter. Other approvals include EN55011-B, EN55022-B, FCC-B, and EN61000-4. Operating temperature range is –10 to +60°C.
Dimensions of the new units range from 37 x 92 x 159mm for the SWS50 which weighs in at 400g, to the 750g SWS150 which measures 51 x 99 x 198mm.
