HSE Coordinator

TDK-Lambda UK Ltd is a successful and long established design and manufacturing company of standard and configurable AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies situated on the pleasant North Devon Coast. We are entering an exciting period of change and expansion with ambitious plans for the manufacturing facility.

The above vacancy has arisen within the Health, Safety and Environmental Department. An exciting opportunity to support the development of our Health and Safety Culture and work towards a better future for TDK-Lambda UK.

We are looking for a Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator reporting directly to the HSE Manager who will have responsibility for the Health, Safety & Environmental compliance requirements, to ensure continued certification to ISO 45001 & 14001 and will support the HSE Manager in driving a positive culture and improvement programme of activities.

The successful applicant will support the HSE Manager to ensure that the company is a safe working environment for all employees and activities, using best practice to improve safety and minimise environmental impact.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure statutory compliance monitoring, reporting and administration obligations in Health Safety & Environmental are met
  • Administration of ISO 45001 & 14001 certifications and supporting internal & external auditing
  • Support the business in cultural continual improvement strategy and development of a positive health, safety and environmental culture
  • Monitor and report key Targets and Objective and support a continuous improvement programme
  • Support the Health & Safety Committee to drive best practices and employee engagement
  • Work with the HSE Manager and Leaders at all levels of the business to develop a positive and engaging Health and Safety culture

Skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of Statutory Health, Safety & Environmental regulations and experience in manufacturing and engineering businesses would be advantageous.
  • Experience in a similar role and/or industry is preferable

Qualifications:

  • IOSH National General Certificate.
  • Recognised Environmental qualification appropriate to the role.

This is a Grade 3 position, working 37.5 hours per week as follows and will report to the Health, Safety and Environmental Manager.

Monday - Thursday: 7.30 am – 4.30 pm*

Friday: 7.30 am – 12 noon*

*Flexi-time (1 hour either side of start and finish time)
