Robin Brew, head coach of the Kelly College Swim Squad
Robin Brew, head coach of the Kelly College Swim Squad, is about to take the ultimate challenge of his lifetime at this year’s Lanzarote Ironman Triathlon (www.ironmanlanzarote.com). Taking place on May 23rd, Robin is doing the race to raise money for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund in memory of his mum.
TDK-Lambda UK supports the Kelly College Paralympic Swim Squad and has contributed towards the team’s new kit and the College’s major project of establishing a new Swimming Performance Centre. Robin has invested a great deal of time in the provision of excellent coaching for junior members of the squad with four swimmers ranked number one for their age.
“Robin’s endeavour to complete one of the toughest races in the world is incredible,” said Adam Rawicz, Managing Director of TDK-Lambda. “Robin expects one-hundred percent dedication from his swimmers and I’m sure that’s what he’s given in the run-up to this event. I wish him every success.”
Pancreatic cancer is little known and little researched, despite having the highest death rate of all cancers. The Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund (www.pcrf.org.uk) is the first national charity dedicated solely to overcoming pancreatic cancer through funding independent research and through lobbying existing research funders.
