Independent brand awareness studies recently carried out by two of America’s leading electronics magazines, EDN and ECN, both conclude that when it comes to power supplies the number one company of choice is Lambda.
While EDN addressed all power supplies, ECN limited its study to switch mode and linear supplies. Readers of both magazines were quizzed on their awareness of individual manufacturers, whose power supplies they currently used and whose they would prefer to use in the future. In all three categories in both studies Lambda came top of the poll. In the ECN study 66% of respondents said they were aware of the Lambda brand, 38% said they currently used Lambda products, and 26% said they would prefer to use Lambda supplies in the future. At 56%, slightly fewer EDN readers were aware of the Lambda brand, 31% used Lambda products now and, again, 26% said Lambda supplies were their preferred choice for the future.
Commenting on the findings of the two US brand awareness studies Martin Southam, Lambda’s marketing director, said: “The EDN and ECN studies make interesting reading. Both uphold our claim that Lambda is the world’s leading power supply manufacturer. Not only are we more ‘well known’ than anyone else but we are also the market’s preferred choice both for now and in the future. While the two studies primarily concentrated on the US market, I’m confident that we would see similar results Europe.”
