HSE Manager

TDK-Lambda UK Ltd is a successful and long established design and manufacturing company of standard and configurable AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies situated on the pleasant North Devon Coast. We are entering an exciting period of change and expansion with ambitious plans for the manufacturing facility.

We are looking for a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager reporting directly to the Managing Director who will have responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the Health, Safety & Environmental activities, driving a positive culture whilst ensuring compliance with required statutory obligations.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the Health & Safety Culture Development, providing support and guidance to Leaders at all levels of the business. They will also be required to ensure that the company is a safe working environment for all employees and activities, using best practice to improve safety and minimise environmental impact.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure statutory compliance obligations in all areas pertaining to Environmental, health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting
  • Management of ISO 45001 & 14001 certifications
  • Lead the business in cultural continual improvement strategy and development of a positive health, safety and environmental culture
  • Managing key Targets and objective and driving a continuous improvement programme
  • Managing and development of the Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator
  • Leading the Health & Safety Committee to drive best practices and employee engagement
  • Lead role in the company’s disaster recovery plan for Health Safety & Environmental.

Skills and qualifications:

Knowledge of Statutory Health, Safety & Environmental regulations is essential and experience in manufacturing and engineering businesses would be advantageous.

Qualifications:

NEBOSH National General Certificate.

Recognised Environmental qualification appropriate to the role.

This is a Management position, working 37.5 hours per week as follows and will report directly to the Managing Director.

Monday - Thursday: 7.30 am – 4.30 pm*

Friday: 7.30 am – 12 noon*

*Flexi-time (1 hour either side of start and finish time)

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 (DoE) - competitive relocation packages are available.
